Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: May 20, 2026
This page explains how to remove Localpoint's access to your Meta business assets and how to request deletion of Facebook and Instagram connection data stored by Localpoint.
1. Remove Localpoint from Meta
You can revoke Localpoint's access at any time from your Facebook account settings. Go to Settings and privacy, then Settings, then Apps and websites. Find Localpoint or the app name shown during authorization, then choose Remove.
You can also review connected business integrations in Meta Business Settings for the business portfolio that owns or manages your Facebook Page and Instagram professional account.
2. Request deletion from Localpoint
To ask Localpoint to delete Meta connection data we store, send a request through our contact form. Please include your business name, the Facebook Page or Instagram account you connected, and the email address used for the connection request.
We will process deletion requests in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. We may need to retain limited records where required for legal, security, contractual, or accounting purposes.
3. What we delete
For Meta social scheduling connections, deletion includes stored Meta access tokens, app-scoped Meta user identifiers, Facebook Page and Instagram professional account connection records, and unpublished scheduling data tied to that Meta connection where deletion is legally and operationally permitted.
4. What happens next
After access is removed or connection data is deleted, Localpoint will no longer be able to schedule posts for the affected Facebook Page or Instagram professional account unless the business authorizes a new connection.
